Help.... stock sms app issue

hi all....

I have an issue with the stock sms app in my Gnex

When i try to delete a thread, it takes a few seconds before i can scroll between thread again smoothly.
Is this normal?

Seems to be very laggy

Go to the messaging app settings and check it to "delete old messages". I set mine to 200 texts and 10 multimedia messages. I'm sure it can handle more, but that's all the memory I need my texts to be taking up. If I were you I would delete all threads, change this setting and start fresh. Just my opinion. Good luck!

could it be that the phone is just laggy when deleting sms?

or should i reset it?

Do exactly as I said and that should fix it....if not I would clear the messaging app data in settings > apps. If its still giving you issues, I would factory reset.
