HELP! Possessed Droid!

When locked and on a wooden table all alone it opens apps. No cheap aftermarket charger involved. It opens the same apps and when I unlock the phone and check tasks there they are.

Amazon MP3, Calendar, Corp. Calendar and Voice Dial. Every time without fail.

Now I did a search and come to find out it aint just the Droid. The Cliq, the Droid, Nexus One, hell all of them opening random apps when locked. How can this be stopped? It is annoying as hell to go and kill all the apps it decides on opening before I even use it.

Oh well thats not a big deal just don't worry about them, your phone is not possessed, it just auto-runs those for some reason. It is not harming your phone at all.

ok. Calendars I can understand an autorun but Amazon MP3? WTF for? I have never even opened the app, EVER. Why would it need to autorun it?

I think it's just because it's a native app on your phone. It's probably not taking up any memory, and if you do have a lot of things open that you are using, the Android OS will stop the unused apps automatically to make room for ones being used.

Still not acceptable. Amazon MP3, uninstalled. Calendars and voice dial I could care less about but there is no need to autorun an app going to a 3rd party, EVER.

They are apps native (stock) to your OS. Just ignore them, they self-launch and run, task killer or not. Just ignore them as they have minds of their own but are not resource hogs. Hope that helps you out!

Well if you feel that strongly about it then take the time to root the phone and you can remove those apps.

lol this phone was rooted before I even made the first phone call.
