help phone says connected to hdmi

Help today I connected my phone to tv earleier then later that night it keeps acting like it is connected to hdmi. I tried plugging the cable in and it acts like it is not connected to hdmi then when I unplug the cable it says it is connected again. Does anyone know a solution?

Have you tried power cycling?

Yes i did. Now it keeps just doing it randomly
