Help identify this icon please

Can you guys please help me identify this icon. I have no clue what it is.

Its for location services, i.e E911. Go to Setting>More>Location services. Access location to off will remove the bars, but not the diamond icon. Not sure how to get rid of that.
 

This is correct, but this should ONLY show up during and for about 10 minutes AFTER a 911 call is executed. This could have been an accidental call to 911, stopped in time to prevent getting answered, but the phone will still turn on Location. Its purpose is to track a possible victim if they've been able to dial 911 but can't communicate for whatever reason.

On Samsung devices the icon is always there...same on my GS3
