SBF should take you back to square one. You should have a nice, clean phone to work with. Whatever method you used to root (I used Pete's One-Click), just make sure you're double-checking the instructions. You might want to install an app like Root Checker to make sure the root is working properly. Also, after your phone boots up for the first time after obtaining root and you're sure root is working right, shut it down and turn it back on again, the normal way, before you install Bootstrap. If there's no bootloop, then that would indicate that there's a problem with your installation of Bootstrap.
I don't know if you downloaded a custom ROM, as well. If so, you might want to skip flashing it again until you've confirmed that the root and recovery are functioning properly.
