Help! Droid 2 boot animation/bootstrapper problems!

Insidious

Active Member
So I used to be rooted and during that time I had installed boot animation changer lite and changed my boot animation. Along with koushes well known and loved bootstrapper. I unrooted and my boot animation is the same but I want it back to stock. And everytime I boot up the recovery menu pops up but bootstrap is uninstalled and I changed sd cards after I uninstalled it so I don't get how the hijack file is still there because I can't find it. What I'm asking is would a fatory reset work or do I need to sbf. Sbf'ing makes me nervous so I want to FR and recover everything through backup assistant. Sorry for the weird situation. But please help!

The hijack file is located in system/bin. Delete that. Then delete logwrapper file and rename logwrapper.bin to logwrapper. That will uninstall bootstrap

Not sure on that. This is easier though than a reset, where now you have to set everything up again

I haven't been able to find the file anywhere (I'm using Astro) so is there any file management app that you reccomend id use?

Root explorer. Go to system/bin, make sure you click the r/w button on the top to be able to delete system files
