HELP! Contacts and other problems

Help! My droid is being about as awesome as acid washed jeans right now!

One, it's going REALLY SLOW. It's taking about 10 secs to bring up the native messages.

When I start typing a contact in to the text messenger, it shows every contact literally 30 or 40 times duplicated in the drop down list.


Any ideas for me?
I upgraded to the latest version, now it's terrible.

For your contacts, log into your google account from a PC and clean up the contacts. Delete dups, etc. It is easy they give you options for doing all that.

As for the slowness, did you do a factory reset? If not I would. To help with that download Astro File Manager from the market and use it to back-up your apps. After the reset you can restore the apps from your sdcard.

Also, if you do some searching/browsing in this forum you can find the answers to most questions. I think we've covered everything here many times over.
