Probably a stupid question, but I'm a droid newbie, and I can't figure out how to close certain apps when I'm done using them. For instance, on Google Maps, I can't find an exit button. If I simply press the home key, my Google navigator will continue running in the background, a problem that I heard will drain the battery quickly. So how to I close the window, and how do I ensure that the whole app is closed as well?

Thank you!

Thanks a bunch - that link assured me that I don't need to worry about closing apps.

BUT I'm still unsure how to minimize the Google maps window, and how to tell Google Maps to stop talking to me once I've arrived at my destination. More help?

While on the navigation screen - Menu > exit navigation will stop the nav/talking.

thanks! And is there some kind of minimize button somewhere, or do I just have to select "home" anytime I want to use a different application?
