My name is clay and I am fairly new to android...2nd phone first was an ally I now have a droid 2. I would really like to improve its
performance. I've seen talk of gingerbread and rooting and wondered how difficult it is. Sorry if I should have posted this somewhere

From your profile you have a Droid 2 Global, which is not a D2. Look in the D2G section for info on rooting and ROMs!
