What I mean is: How is the coverage? I live on an island, for example. While Sprint, AT&T and Verizon offer wireless service here, but Verizon coverage is superior in every way, particularly out of town.

It also makes sense because of the iPhone launch in October. Having the latest version of Android would allow the S3 to compete better.
