After lurking around here for a couple of weeks, I convinced myself that the Droid was the phone I really wanted. Went to Verizon this past Saturday and am now the proud owner of a new Moto Droid. Verizon really did well by us. They are running a BOGO free offer and, since we're old Alltell customers, let us grandfather in our old plan just adding $20 for the data plan on my son's Droid. I already had a data plan for my BB Curve. Just haven't decided yet what their motive is. They said they are trying to get all the old Alltell people to get rid of their Alltell phones and go to Verizon phones, so they are making it easier to do so.
So far I've figured out most of my problems by searching the forums here. Thanks for such a nice site. I'm sure you'll see me around from time to time with dumb questions. So happy to be here.
