Does Helix do away with the need for Apps Organizer?

On the contrary... Using Helix + Apps Organizer can help condense a LOT of often-used apps into 4 shortcuts.

I've tried pressing the home key but i get other shortcuts and not the HELIX. I go through it in applications and it does not give me the option to open. I've gone through the market, uninstalled and reinstalled, but the open is grayed out. HELP!!!!

Try downloading the Home Switcher app and see if that lets you select Helix.

Yes I have mine set to 5.

I have mine set to 5 as well. Goes up to 7. However, it installs with only 3. You need to go into the Helix settings to change it to a higher number.

Again, the Home Switcher app (free on the market) is the easiest way to manage multiple home apps.

If you want to do it the hard way, you can go to Settings - Applications - Manage applications - Helix Launcher - Clear Defaults. Then press the Home button, and check the set default box before selecting Home as the app to use for that button.

Probably the dumbest question asked on theseforums but how to i launch this thing?!i manually updated to 2.1 on my droid and installed helix in the market but i cant click the open button. I look through my apps and settings and i cant find it...maybe this is been answered somewhere in the forums but im too lazy to look now on the phones...i appreciate the catering to my retardation.

Is this working with the new Droid 2.1 OTA update? after the problem I had with Launcher2 & 2.1 today I am SOOOOO paranoid to install a new Launcher!!!
