Helix Launcher Open button disabled

I downloaded the helix launcher and the helix launcher 2. after downloading them, the open button was greyed out and they are not listed in my list of applications. but if i search for them in the market, they say that they are installed. I do have the updated system to 2.1 and my phone is not rooted. I am new to this smart phone thing and I don't even know what rooting is.
