Headphone / microphone / 3.5 mm jack problem

I'm sure some of my fellow droid TB users have this problem where you can't use microphone headphone to make calls. you can hear the other person but they can't hear you.

I've had a few other droids and NEVER had this problem before.

IS THERE A FIX?

I am on my second TB and both have this same issue.

HTC designed it that way (not sure why). Hope they can fix it whenever they push their first software update. I'm getting rid of my TB and will get a Bionic when it's released.

Have Droid Incredible 2 - Whenever I unplug stereo headphones, the Microphone no longer works requiring a full restart of the phone... IS THERE A FIX?
