hdmi Q?

i cant seem to get hdmi to work it was fine before the update and i havnt used it in some time all that shows up when i plug it in is the (M) for motorola like a screen saver so i know its connecting to the phone i just looked all over google and cant seem to find y i cant see my desktop or mirror anything thank all.

well got off the phone with techs they r sending me a new phone saying they dont know y its doing this
