Having GPS problems today?

I was biking earlier and Cardiotrainer just wasn't working for me. It kepts at 0 yards. it kind of takes the enthusiasm out of the workout if I don't konw how far I've biked, how many calories I burned and then brag about it on facebook. I haven't changed any settings since I used it wednesday night. can a cloudy day screw it up?

Clouds play a big role in GPSr reception. However, it will typically just throw off the accuracy...not disable you from receiving any signal at all. Could just be a combination of heavy cloud cover and tree cover, but again, for me it usually just messes with my accuracy...

I doubt it's the clouds. Is the GPS icon in your notification bar blinking? If that's the case your GPS receiver is having problems getting a fix. Have you tried turning GPS off and then on? A power cycle of the Droid?

it thinks I'm in f'ing Consolacion del Sur, Cuba. I'm probably 4 or 5 hundred miles north in Orlando. wtf? Even my weather bug widget doesn't know where I am. the cell tower locator is no better. that's off about .5 miles and won't track me.

exit GPS apps, disable GPS, wait 5 seconds, enable GPS. You should know exactly where you are within 30 seconds

ok, rather than showing where I am on the map, google maps is fixated on the satellite. It's actually showing ME moving about 120 miles an hour through the gulf of mexico right now.
