Have Ice Cream Update......nope 2.3.6

Well I have been waiting for ICE Cream Update to root my phone.
Finally got it.
What is the update rev #..... is it 2.3.6?
If someone knows the name and location of the update file I will post it for download.
Or has this already been done and are ROMS already available?

Location?

It was my understanding that 2.3.6 is not ICS, but a final prep update to polish up the fixes before ICS is pushed.

Besides, you can't root in 2.3.6. You'll have to back up your phone (recommend bootstrap 2.0), flash to .744, factory reset, update OTA to .748, root now with Doomlord, use voodoo root keeper, OTA to 2.3.6, restore root with voodoo, put bootstrap back on and restore data. This reply is version #12,735,826 for root solution to 2.3.6. Not to be cruel, but this info is here in abundance, in different wordings. If you're new here, well, most folks research rooting before doing it. Doing so would've prevented this post...and mild scolding.

Thanks.... but read my Sig. I am slightly experienced with rooting.

Well, I got proven wrong about the root-ability, but at least it was like yesterday. I'd feel foolish had it been out a week or two. @NetNathan, Waiting 'til after ICS to root for an experienced flasher just struck me as someone who, at best, dabbled with root.

Actually I waz waiting for the ICS update before I rooted so there would be no worries about being rooted when the upgrade got pushed out.
This was a huge issue in the forum when a big upgrade was coming out for my first Droid the A855.
It was my upgrade file that was used for building the next set of ROMs for the Droid A855. I actually see it is still being dowmloading from my box.net account.

With the VooDoo Root Keeper in the market doing OTA updates has become painless in keeping root. All you do is open VooDoo and make a backup of Root, then download and install the OTA, after that is done you open VooDoo and restore Root. So now you can Root whenever you want and still get any OTA that comes out.
