So Motorola ended up finding out that the guy from last week with the D2 was infact lying, that what happened was he had dropped the phone and cut his ear by trying to use it. Also the phone never blew up. So after wasting so many peoples time I sure hope that this guy goes DOWN!!!!

What do you all think?

So here is that guys thoughts:

This is probably what went through his head: Oops i dropped it... um does this thing still work? Crap it still works but my wife will kill me for breaking this phone. Lets see if i rub it around my ear for an hour if i can get cut on the glass, then sue Motorola. Problem adverted.

Sadly, that's probably very close to what happened.

Methinks it is more amusing how the media got sucked in and went along with the guy's story, showing explosions and fire on the screens in the studio as they reported what they assumed was the gospel truth about exploding cellphones. Typical hype.

Oh I just snorted water thru my nose after reading this. A co-worker and I had this very discussion not too long after the supposed "explosion" and he was totally supporting the fact that the phone blew up and blah blah blah, I told him he most likely did it to himself. Well now I have something to rub in his ear!...lmao!

The story was as believable as the person who got someone's digit in their Wendy's chili and sued Wendy's. Turns out they dropped it in themselves and they stole the finger from a factory where someone legitimately lost their finger in a work accident.
