Have you installed the most recent update? If you go to settings, about phone, system updates and hit check new. There is a gps fix in this update and works very well.

Not here GPS works very well after update locks in about 5 seconds or less

Try downloading GpsFix from the market.

Are you enabling gps?

Having the same problem
I have everything enabled, downloaded GPSFix, restarted phone......when I hit the Navigation button it is saying "checking navigation availability" and then nothing....just get the stupid thing going around in a circle

Same problem here, since DL09 it seems worse. It locks on faster (sometimes), but Google Maps repaints the screen extremely slow, and now G Maps does not save my settings (i.e. traffic view).
