GPS - accuracy, performance, availability ?

the gps on my droid sucked until i read the calibration method in the faq. now it is extremely accurate.

I'm pretty sure those are instructions for calibrating the compass, not the GPS receiver.

Agree, that is how a fluxgate compass is calibrated.
