Google Voice Widget?

Just wondering if there is a way to get an onscreen notification of GV messages. The transcribe option isnt working reliably enough for me, and thought it would have been nice if they used a counter on the widget like Handcent uses. If thats not possible, will I get sms notifications of voice mails if I turn off the transcribe option?

Set google voice to send you emails when you receive text's. Therefore you will have instant notifications.

You'll get whatever notifications you choose to enable. IMO it's easier to deal with the "full site" at http://www.google.com/voice for adjusting such settings.
