Google Talk-logging off issue

I use google talk quite often so this issue has quickly become very frustrating. Whenever I do not use the phone for 15 minutes, it logs me out of google talk and i do not get any messages until i go back into the app. I am not sure if it has to do with settings on the phone or the app itself.

check task manager to make sure its not auto-ending the app

check battery manager>battery mode: if set to max battery, it will end data sync after 15 minutes of inactivity

Thanks for the info. Battery life is in normal and app is not on auto-end. smh and can't find a fix anywhere.
