Google Now no longer works after Lollipop

I'm not sure if any of you use Google Now and the cards, but the app does not like being updated to Lollipop. Cards are no longer update. I've tried to follow the remedies below, such as disabling and re-enabling cards, but this provides only 24 hours of relief before the updates fail again. Anyone find a remedy?

The message I receive when I try to updates cards is "Google Now Can't be reached at the moment."

I am confident that someone will come along with suggestions that will resolve this, but if it was a system-wide bug, there would be LOTS of discussion. I'm not seeing that so I think it's related to your phone specifically. You might try rebooting if you haven't already. Then try booting into safe mode, I know this is a system app, but sometimes it's a conflict with another user-installed app that causes a system app to fail and safe mode will either prove or disprove that.

That's exactly my sense. For those, like me, this is a real problem, but it is definitely not system-wide. The topic pops up on an isolated few forums here and there, but the proposed remedies are reboot phone, un-install app, clear app cache, etc. I've tried all of those with no sustainable resolution.

I've just given up on the app, but am hoping someone else found a way through.

I've had Google Now issues in the past. None on Turbo.

Did you try signing out? Open GNow. Click the Menu button up by the word Google. Settings. Accounts and Privacy. Click on GOOGLE ACCOUNT, Sign out. For Giggles, I'd reboot.
Go back, sign back in.
