The google Nexus 5X release date is getting closer and they should be leaving warehouses and start shipping to customers on October 22nd and should land in customers hands shortly after.

The LG made Nexus 5X is the successor to one of the most popular Nexus devices ever made, the Nexus 5 (2013). The new Nexus 5X is also made by LG and features a somewhat similar design that has evolved and now has a camera bump and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Naturally, the new Nexus 5X runs on the newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Nexus 5X specs:
  • 5.2-inch 1080p display
  • 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit chipset
  • 2GB of RAM and a minimum of 16GB of storage
  • 12.3MP rear camera, 5MP front camera
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS w/ GLONASS, microUSB Type-C
  • Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Gyroscope, eCompass
  • 2,700mAh battery w/ Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Wait, there's a firm date of the 22nd on the 5X, but no firm date on the 6P? Makes the rumor of a few days after the 22nd seem more likely for the 6P than the rumor of them shipping within the next few days. You'd think they'd try to keep the ship dates fairly close.

I am highly considering switching to this phone, just so I can try out Project Fi.
