Peole over at XDA or Droidlife started getting their invites yesterday. I saw it on twitter that people were starting to get them.

I saw a tweet that Xoom owners were going to be the first to get a Google Music invite. I can't remember who tweeted it, though. I will eagerly await my invite, though. I am a Xoomless person, though, so I won't get one because I have a Xoom.

Happy to say I got mine yesterday! And I'm pretty sure I got it because my account is associated with my dads xoom.

What's the big deal with Google's Muisc? I know they love to do the invite thing but Amazon gives you 20 GB of storage free just for purchasing a mp3 album. What am I missing here?

That's what I'm wondering too. Cloud is cheap now. I have unlimited with my Asus eee transformer.

Plenty of free 4 gb ones out there

The invite thing is because it's currently in Beta form. It will be released to the public eventually.

And I get your point, but it's funny to see a sentence that reads "free just for purchasing..." :)

Yeah, the wording should have been "with a purchase of any mp3 album you get 20 gb of space." Point taken.
