I got mine yesterday without signing up, but I think Xoom users get it automatically.

I saw a tweet that Xoom owners were going to be the first to get a Google Music invite. I can't remember who tweeted it, though. I will eagerly await my invite, though. I am a Xoomless person, though, so I won't get one because I have a Xoom.

What's the big deal with Google's Muisc? I know they love to do the invite thing but Amazon gives you 20 GB of storage free just for purchasing a mp3 album. What am I missing here?

That's what I'm wondering too. Cloud is cheap now. I have unlimited with my Asus eee transformer.

The invite thing is because it's currently in Beta form. It will be released to the public eventually.

Yeah, the wording should have been "with a purchase of any mp3 album you get 20 gb of space." Point taken.
