google maps doubled

ths might be a noob questions but I'm looking through my ATM and I noticed that I have two google maps apps running in the bottom. I don't know why this is, they are identical. Does this have anything to do with the fact that I have maps on my desktop instead of in a folder?

one might be the app and another could be a background process or somehitng, for example gmail has 2 or more visible thingies when looking at unfiltered apps

I don't know why but I ve never even noticed that it was running before I took it out of the folder and afterwards it has twice and is constantly running, I don't want to shut it off because I'm afraid that it's vital to it be running. But it showing up twice s weird.

Do a shutdown / turnon. If it is really necessary the phone will relaunch it when it needs it again. If not, don't worry about it. :icon_eek:
