Is there a way to start a group in lattitude. That might be more practical to join.

i dont think there are groups but you can set your privacy level to just the city your in if your worried about "strangers" knowing where you are. groups would be alot easier though

Yeah, groups would be a whole lot better, especially with grouping the access rights, setting location, etc.
