google chat messages wont send

ive been trying to talk to people on it all day and it keeps saying "message could not be sent." it works sometimes and other times it doesnt. anyone else experiencing this?

I've noticed this today as well.

I know the phone is working sometimes as I can chat with people, but then it will cut out. Sometimes I can't respond and they can keep talking to me, but sometimes both incoming and outgoing break. I'm posting from my phone so clearly its connected...any ideas?

One other thing: it seems to have issues when I'm connected to 3g but there is a wireless network in range that I'm not connected to. It didn't work on my drive home either though so that's not the cause 100% of the time. Also, no, I was not trying to chat while I was driving.
