Goggle maps freezing after update

Ever since goggle maps did their update last week, maps freeze up then re boot phone! Used to work all the time with no problem, now can't friend on it! Anyone else or know if goggle coming up with fix update for it, or just me,

I've encountered freezing with the update also. My phone has started freezing in general with 2.2.1 however. What do you mean you "can't friend on it" though? Is that like a Google Latitude-type feature?
