Has anyone else had it where it shows messages in your inbox and they are not there?? Mine says I have two.. even went into labels and it says it there to... but no messages there.....

Do you have more than 1 gmail account on your phone? Trying a reboot.

Nope.. one account.... did the reboot.... still comes back with 2 messages there

Settings>apps>manage app>running>gmail click on it and clear data.

Gmail isnt listed in manage apps... and it isnt running...

Hmmm...it should always be running. Do you have a task killer? Are you running stock 2.1?

Did you filter by running apps? Or did you check under runnings services instead of going under manage apps.

Running stock 2. 1.... I did both. Manage and running... and running no task killer...

Hmm....and you use the stock gmail app correct?

Yep.... now it is resending messages I've already deleated... its possessed

I have seen that problem talked about before but on my break at work so can't link it for you. Maybe trying deleting the account and re add it?

Sometimes this happens to me, I'll bet if you log into your gmail from a pc you'll find those emails there showing up as unread. The way I've come to avoid it is by backing out of my emails when I'm done reading them rather than hitting home, seems to work for me. Sorry if this has nothing to do with your problem just seems like its what's going on.

Also you should be able to find it in the app manager under "All"

So strangely enough my phone started doing the same thing this am. Said I had 1 message even though I had non, and when I logged into my account online all the messages I deleted from phone were still there. So I went it and cleared the cache from the gmail app and it fixed it. So if you can find that program that will fix your problem not sure why its not listed though.
