Gmail contacts don't sync... at all

I have a new Motorola Droid4, and gmail contacts don't sync, either to or from the phone. Gmail does sync, no problem. From everything I have read, this is supposed to happen automatically. Am I missing something?

Welcome to the forum

Go to your account in settings and tap on your Google account then on your Google mail address. There are options there for what to sync and it may have been turned off.
