Gingerbread with working bluetooth yet?

Just checking in to see if anyone knows wether or not the issue with bluetooth not working with voice has been resolved in an updated rom.

What do you mean voice. Mine works with voice calls, voice commands, but not voice search and I'm on zombiestomp 1.71

im assuming you mean voice with a bluetooth headset, which I can't verify/deny.

I have used blueputdroid (to type on my ps3), which uses bluetooth on ZombieStomped 1.7 and on APEX 2.0 beta (both gingerbread roms) with no issues at all.

Doesn't work on Zombiestomped either. Just installed it and can confirm that Bluetooth voice over my inter phone f4 does not work for voice.

I can stream audio, but I have no Bluetooth voice communication. As a matter of fact- when trying to make a call over Bluetooth, the Bluetooth button (the one next to the mute button while in call) doesn't even light up.

This is the same on ANY gingerbread rom.

I'm running the monster prerooted GB rom and I've got BT functionality.

The people having problems know that you have to go to settings, and wireless, bluetooth, then pair device right. The bluetooth in call option will be blanked out if not paired. I have never had an issue on any gb rom and i have been on stock, rooted, Deodexed, few different versions of zombiestomp and versions of liberty.

I know how to pair a BT device. Trust me, that's not the problem. It pairs fine on a DROID X2 that is running Gingerbread. It just doesn't work on ANY Gingerbread rom.

Bluetooth is working for me on apex 2.0...and I believe x2 is running froyo 2.2.2 that's themed like gingerblur

I don't see how you can continue to assert this when alt least two people have already posted that it works fine for them.

Maybe because myself and several others have also posted that it DOESN'T work fine for us?

I understand that, but your logic doesn't follow. What you mean to say is that it doesn't work on SOME Gingerbread roms, because it DOES work on some setups.

Have you tried going back to vanilla to make sure it still works that way? if that still works, have you tried one of the ROMS that have been posted to work?

I works on vanilla Froyo ONLY. I tried the monster ROM. I tried Zombiestomped, I tried Liberty, I tried the DXtoD2. It does not work on ANY of these ROMs.

As I said- I can stream audio fine through it which means its not a pairing issue. It just defaults all phone calls to the phone.

And I have tried ALL of the ROMs that are "supposed" to work.

I need to know now how to block the OTA when it is released. I'm seeing in the DX forums that its not working for them either and they are on the OTA official Gingerbread.

My monster rom gives me the following version numbers:

System version: 4.5.153.A955-continuous.Verizon.en.US

Android version: 2.3.3

Baseband version: BP_C_01.09.10P

Kernel Version:
2.6.32.9-gd72dc5d
a20523@il93lnxdroid49 #1

Build number: STAB

ERI version: 5

PRL version: 52299

Do all of those match up with what you have when you install the monster rom?

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I've read in several places that if you remove the bloatware like Blockbuster that you can no longer get OTA updates.
