Getting video from Droid X to imovies on mac to edit and create movie.

I took a video on my Droid X. But now I am having a problem getting it to the imovie software so I can edit it with other videos. Why is it giving me a problem.

Shouldn't I be able to just drag the video file in? or import it?

I've had the problem too. The best I could manage was to open them in Quicktime and then save as in the 720hd format.
