Galaxy S4 Video Tips Series

Hello all,

I am starting a series of videos that will focus on hints and tips for using the Galaxy S4 called Basics. These are (non-rooted phone) tips with each video around 1-2 minutes long and designed to focus on a single topic. So might be very obvious, some might be a little more advanced and others are neat little tricks and different approaches that you never knew existed.

I have previously done very successful videos on the Asus Transformer Prime (150 videos) and the Nexus 7 (100 videos). Here are a few videos just to give you a flavour of my work.

1: How to reorder notification buttons

2. Long press Notification Buttons

3. How to put Apps on Your Lockscreen

I hope you find them useful and I will add loads more in the weeks/months ahead :)

Hey bud, long time no see. Good to know you're on the S4 bandwagon.

And I just realized you left out Surface.

Hey there, Leeshor!

Yeah, the Surface RT didn't really fit with me so I got rid of it before the priced dropped (like it just did today).

Thank You !!!

I hope to see more of these. It's great that they are grouped into single topics; should of been done this way long ago.

I am now using the Lockscreen App Launcher !!!

Here's the first of my regular updates.

In this tip I show you how to setup a page on your lockscreen that either includes a whole host of applications that you can choose, or a camera launcher page.

Just in case you're not sure to do this on an SG4: How to take a screenshot

Nice, now do one on how to do it with swiping your hand across the screen. It's actually easier for us uncoordinated people.;)

I was trying that today and I could only do it 1 in 10 times. I need to perfect it before I make a vid ;)

Mine works 100% of the time and I find it easier than the 2 button press, which is why I suggested it. I'm not coordinated enough to do the 2 button process reliably. ;)

A bit of a peculiar one this. Here's how to turn off the earphone notification dock on the SG4:

Just in case you don't know the difference between creating homescreen folders via the default Touch Wiz launcher and other popular launchers.

Hey thanks. I knew how to rearrange my notification icons, but didn't know that I could swipe to have access to the other icons that aren't visible.

Here's how to adjust the duration of the Touch Key Lights:

How funny because for me it's the exact opposite. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to swipe a screenshot, but can tell you I've only succeeded 3 times. Two button press is a snap for me though. I don't know why either. Fast, slow, edge of screen, a little further in, start from left side of screen, start from right... I've tried everything I think and nada.
