Galaxy S3 - deleting the assigned ringtone on contacts

I keep setting ringtones on my phone and they stay for a day or two but then they are somehow set back to the default. Anyone know if this is a bug with the Verizon Backup assistant, I never had this problem with my Continuum. Thanks in advance.

did u save them on internal memory or ext sd card. save the to internal memory. that helped my similar issue. sometimes ext sd card not available when tone is requested by phone.
