Galaxy s3 Battery

Hi,

I just got an s3 2 days ago, is it normal that I lose about 50% of the battery at night time from 11 pm to 8 am (my sleep time), although I have not installed a sim card yet.

Please help me, my 4 years old iPhone gives me a 2 days

btw even the charge time is very long more than 3 hours
