hey guys...just a random question about some new phones that will be coming out, and your thoughts on the situation.
I have a Droid 1, am due for an upgrade and I am trying my hardest to with for the next wave of great devices to come out. For now I am specifically looking at the Droid Bionic, HTC Thunderbolt, and the LG Revolution.
I am assuming (since Moto has turned into a bootloader locking monster) that the Bionic could very well be the next Droid X and not easily rooted and customized. But now that the XOOM is out and it is unlockable and re-lockable for devs that they may have wised up and the Bionic will be the same way. Either way, until it more is known about that it is on the bottom of my list.
HTC and I have got along since I have been helping my friend with an EVO, giving him root and flashing UD 3.1.1 on it. He complains constantly about the battery life and I have heard the same from Incredible users, so I am unsure about the Thunderbolt at the moment but am loving the specs and the fact that it is HTC.
The LG Revolution intrigues me the most so far. First off it is a tegra 2 phone and second it is made by LG. I know LG makes great products in other markets but then again so does Samsung and their venture into android hasn't been that good in my opinion. For right now this is at the top of my list because of the tegra 2, the fact that I keep hearing that it will be stock android (with no skin such as Blur or Sense), and that is is made by LG and we haven't seen them make a smartphone yet.
Any thoughts on what I just said is appreciated and adding to to them would be great. If I am not considering a phone that I should be then feel free to explain. This was just my thoughts on what I am considering for my next phone, any help is appreciated.
P.S. sorry for the book (again) lol
