I know we have posted this video before, but the last version was grainy, dark and looked like it was filmed with a camera-phone pointed at a TV. This is the full, clear official version of the Droid Bionic "Arena" commercial. It definitely has more impact this way, as you can see the action (and the attractive actress) better. It would be pretty cool if someone turned this into a short feature film. what do you guys think?

Too true Matt! But that just described the Transformer movies as well, even the good ones! LOL.

Seriously though, who came up with this marketing strategy? Why not show what the phone actually does instead of spending a fortune on these stupid commercials. I'm not an iPhone fan but look at how they market, they actually show the phone being used which is appealing to most consumers. You can take an edgier approach than the tree hugging theme of the iPhone, but if I were new to smart phones and saw this commercial I'd pass.

Oh no, not at all. Just take out the wording on each of the "pieces" she recovers and it works for me. It was dumb and kind of out of place to see words like "HDMI" and "1080p" on each component. You'd think a multimillion dollar ad company could have worked in the phone features a little more seamlessly, e.g., she hands each piece over to a nerdy-tech guy, he extracts a tiny, complex-looking circuit from each one, and then some futuristic assembly process results in the complete phone.
