Froyo issues

I tried installing HTC keyboard as a system app and still same result. immediate FC. anyone else having the same issue?
(god i have the stock keyboard)

New issues:

Metamorph is no longer working. it keeps saying I dont have enough system space and i have 261mb free.

Gallery is extremely slow and buggy. no FC, but it will load sections at a time and take forever to load them. so it will load whats visible on the screen (12 thumbs) then when you swipe to the nextr 12 it will take forever to load them...and on and on.

market prob was actually from not all apps showing up in the market. the fix is here:

Not sure if there is an offical Froyo thread to report issues and possible get support.

so here it is, if there is one then please close this and if its helpful you can sticky for people who just flashed Froyo

My problem after flashing...
1. HTC keyboard no longer works
2. Market takes forever to load each time (i remember seeing a solution in the More Froyo thread, but it got lost somewhere in the huge amount of pages
3. after restoring all my apps with Titanium, everything will be running fine until i reboot. It will get stuck at teh red droid eye boot animation and just keep on loading it indefinitely. I think one of the apps may be causing this, but don't know which one and have too ,many to install one by one and reboot to test.
4. internet connect and speeds are horrible

Some of apps are not showing up in the market, but i assume because they have not been updated to 2.2? or is this part of the market issue?

Thats it for now because I have much time to play with it after flashing it

so if anyone can assist with the above or share there issues and solutions it would be great

3. I didn't back up any of my apps. Once I installed Froyo they all automatically downloaded and restored.

4. I don't have a problem with connection speed at all. It's being on sites that have Flash on where it's horrible. Scrolling is slow and the stock browser just kind of sucks. I had to switch to Dolphin HD for decent browser speed.

google voice in froyo

Sorry if this has been answered, but igot a missed call and voicemail I got an alert from google voice about several messages so I went into voice and saw I had multiple texts from yesterday that I never got a notification for. Is this a known issue in froyo, I have frfxx 33333, and if it is know is there a fix any help will be appreciated.

Tried the new baseband?

Yes, I've updated to the latest baseband. I can't seem to get on to anything still, however.

Yes, I've updated to the latest baseband. I can't seem to get on to anything still, however.

wifi seems to be an issue all over; even roms that are froyo based still seems to have an issue with wifi. You can wait for a fix or wait for the official froyo.

ext4 in froyo

my first post.

i recently installed bugless beast froyo but this isn't specifically a bugless question.

so far all the froyo kernels i have tried (p3 and others) don't have ext2/3/4 support built in. if they do, i'm doing something wrong. the p3droid kernels page says ext support is included, but i don't see those options in /proc/filesystems. when i try to mount an ext3 image, i get "no such device."

this worked perfectly before switching to a froyo kernel. am i missing something or do i just need to wait for someone to come out with an ext enabled froyo kernel?

i've been running a debian chroot so i can run the finch IM application. works so much better than all the native android IM apps.

I got froyo and when i try to open up root explorer it says i cant bcuz of the superuser app...how can i get the superuser app with froyo

You must not have the latest version of Froyo installed. The latest version will root your phone and you will see SU appear on the screen.

To get the latest version go to the first page of the More Froyo thread inthe news section.

Wireless Tether

Having wireless tether issues. Using baseband C_01.43.01P, BB V 0.1. with Wireless Tether 2.0.2 installed. Tethering to a Mac. Had no problems previously with CM 5.0.7.1 and ESE 81 build, since going to Froyo 2.2 noticed that I can set up the tether via bluetooth PAN, but once it's set up noticed that the 3G goes out. Any thoughts?

EDIT: N/M, configuration error, operator error. Works fine, seems everything is working, WiFi, Bluetooth, Market. Good times.

did i do something wrong, i flashed to petes 2.2 rom and all i have is a black screen but its completely booted..i could hold the home button and my recents pop up but thats all i coould see besided notification bar

Something isn't right that's for sure. Did you wipe data and cache before install?? Pete suggests a double wipe to make sure.

If its for 2.1 only it might not show up. A lot of people have some apps not showing up and could just be they aren't for 2.2. Or could be a bug in the build. Its hard to say with these early leaks.

Ok thanks man, jstafford1, that answered my question, but I think developers should be working to update so their apps are compatible with 2.2.
