Front facing camera....video chat?

Has anyone gotten the video chat to work? I want to chat with my family via my android phone to my x box using Video Kinect (Windows Live Messenger) Does anyone know if this is possible? If that does not work I'd like to try to video chat with my android phone to my wife's Ipod touch. She has facetime and Skype and I can connect with and see her via Skype however my camera will not work so she sees nothing.

I was on wifi, do you have to use 4g??
