free tethering program with https

Hello, Is there a tether app for the droid x that is free and has https and will work with liberty 3 rom? Thanks!

Wifi Tether will work but you might need to flash tthe TBH Tether patch

I have wifi tether and it used to work on previous liberty roms but it seems since I put L3 on a few months ago it does not work now. I did flash a wug something fix the other day is this the same patch as the tbh patch? where can I find tbh patch at also? Thanks for your quick reponse!

It has the TBH Tether Patch, but also removes the Verizon data tracking files and installs the Wifi Tether app.

I already had wug patched, but I unpatched it. I repatched using the wug patch you listed. There was a difference in size between the two. The one you listed was slightly smaller. Wifi Tether is now working and https is working. I did have a internet connection issue at first but I unchecked access control and it is now letting me on the net. How can I verify Verizon is not tracking me. I have unlimited access but we all know what that means.

It will not work for the D3. You need to use the Radiocom hack. I have no experience with that though.

I have used tethering apps on almost every ROM out there with the TBH patch flashed. I have never had any issues with VZ. If you're paranoid, you can check your bill/plan and see if they added mobile hotspot, but I can pretty much guarantee you they won't know unless you use a ton of data.

I used 10 gigs last month with some tethering, but mostly watching Netflix and downloading ROMs.

I have the Verizon widget on my desktop. It still shows data usage, at the moment nearly 2 gig in about 8 days of this billinng period. On line usage says the same. I am usually on wifi and not 3g except when outside Reloading ammo, then I am streaming music and surfing. Aam I doing something wrong?

Verizon will still see how much data you are using. The patch only hides how the data is being used. If you look through the forums, you will see that there are a lot of people using 40, 50 even more than 100 gigs consistently with no problems. As long as you don't see the verizon screen (on your computer's browser) telling you to add the tether to your plan, you should be fine.
