Force Close message

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue. This is driving me insane!! :angry: Help!!
Phone will not update either.

Force close message: "the application com.google.android.gms (process com.google.android.gms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Are you stock/rooted or ROM'd?

Have you tried going to settings - apps - all, finding that process/app and clearing its data?
