I used z4 root, then downloaded droid x bootstrapper to backup my phone. I want to install a rom but I have some questions first. Is backing it up with bootstrapper all I need to do for a original back up? And, is there a thread for step by step on how to flash a new rom? Do I need any more apps to do the flashing? Any help would be appreciated!

Each ROM has specific instructions on flashing so check their threads. Your nandroid backup is good for your original but if you want your app data then use titanium to backup their data. Yes you can redownload all your apps but if you don't restore the data through TB then you will loose your angry birds levels and stuff like that.

DX. CFU. LIB 1.5.

if all app data is saved with titanium backup before you flash the new rom, are all the widgets saved so you can just restore it back again and there all back in place after you flash the rom?
