Flaky on back

Been read'n here for awhile now, and do not recall seeing this, so was wondering if it is limited to my Droid.
When it is flat on it's back, on a table or something, not in my hand, the touch screen is super flaky. I can say touch a button, and something 1/3 way across the screen will be activated.
That is just one example.
But if I tilt it up it works fine, or pick it up.
Anyone else have that issue?

mine is just as accurate on a table as it is in my hand. is the screen changing orientation when you lay it down?

Happens on any surface so far. Wood, Metal, stone.
Has to be flat on it's back.
Sometimes the icons will "wiggle" when touched (no i am not shaking).

Just went to push PAUSE on the music player, and it activated shuffle.

It has done this since day one, so thought it was normal. More of an annoyance than anything.

Sometimes it is plugged in (like now while listening to music because I use "Screen On" to leave the screen on for the controls).

What started me thinking about it was I was watching that video on the iPhone, Droid and some other phone drawing the cross lines on the screen for touch sensitivity. The Droid sucked, but it was on it's back and I was thinking, mine would suck laying on it's back also.
