First smartphone. How can I move the icons in the icon tray?

I mean the icon tray menu you get after pushing the button in the middle that has a triangle.
I want to do some rearrangement, but I'm not sure how - holding the icon makes it a shortcut into one of the main screens and I don't want that I just want to move it.

you cant arrange them in the app drawer only on your homescreens. The app drawer is arranged alphabetically. If you want a homescreen that allows you to organize your apps download vlauncher from the market. It is very similar to the iphone ui where all apps are displayed on your homescreen with no app drawer. They can also be arranged by dragging and dropping. Hope this helps

Thanks for the quick reply,
another question how can I delete icons from the icon tray? How do I uninstall an app?

push the menu button, click settings. then scroll down to applications. then click the one you want to uninstall and a screen will show up giving details about the app. You will see a button to uninstall. Unless it is a system app in which case the button will be there but you will not be able to press it. This can also be done through the market. when you open the market push menu which is one of the softkeys at the botom it should be 4 parallel lines. then go to downloads where you will get a list of all the apps that were downloaded on your phone. I dont like doing it this way because you get a prompt for why you are removing the app.
