So today i tried rooting for the first time. i have a Droid 1 that was running Frg22d before i attempted to root.

i downloaded z4root i think it was called and it rooted my phone. so then i downloaded ROM manager. i did everything right, set a recovery, backup, etc.
then i went on to download a ROM to try it out. i downloaded Lithium Mod and it downloaded correctly. After i tried flashing it, and when i did i went into a boot loop after where the word droid comes out and lithiums custom power up screen is. is would just go back and forth between "droid" and the lithium screen. at that point i was real scared, being my first time rooting i thought i was gonna break my phone. so i factory wiped and rebooted....

My phone started working after this with the lithium rom applied, it was cool until i checked my apps and stuff. as i assumed, i probably wouldnt of had any of my downloaded apps, but i also was missing my market app. then i checked if my phone would call and it did but i had no contacts. when i tried syncing my account it said "error connecting to server" or something like that. at this point my nerves were going crazy....

Next i was like, let me try recovery! so i turned my phone off, held x, and the clockwork recovery thing was still there... but when i tried recovering anything it didnt work.

please, im begging everyone and anyone.... help me out. i just want my good old droid back :( any help whatsoever would be appreciated. i'm constantly looking around forums and pages, but im not sure if what they are doing will work for me.. i dont want to mess up my phone anymore :(

If you need information, i will happily give you anything im missing.

Use link 4 in my sig to go back to stock 2.2 FRG22D. Then if you want to root. Use link 3 in my sig to do it right. One click root apps are very unreliable.

E: Failed to verify whole-life signature
E: signiture verification failed
