Hey guys, I was wondering if there's a file management app that allows you to take a file from your computer, and put it on your sd card, all from the phone itself (no need to touch the computer)?

Yes if your not rooted try Astro. If your rooted try rootexplorer.

I did use the phonemypc on the 24 hour refund timer, it was really cool. You can actually view your desktop on your computer via your phone.

It was pretty neat.

Do you have to be on the same network as your PC to do that?

nope. it works off of 3g i believe.

Yes, it does work on 3G also. I have it on my Droid and it works great.

Just bought it, this thing rocks. Wish I could do this to my work PC (security would never allow it), that would be very liberating.

try ES File Explorer (EStrongs File Explorer) and you can do it wirelessly with your computer on your Wi-Fi network, or do it over FTP. Just like Astro, but with extra features.
