FB syncing.

How do I sync on contacts to FB? I have it selected in the options, but it's still not syncing them.

make sure name in contacts matches their name exactly as it is on facebook

Wait from or TO facebook? I dont think you have have your contacts on your phone as facebook contacts.

I want my contacts on my phone to be linked to their facebook accounts. I have their names exactly how it is on FB, but it still isn't syncing.

I am having the same issue. I went and renamed all the contacts I wanted updated and it still isn't syncing correctly. I downloaded an app called "Facebook sync", it seems to do the trick for now but i'd still much rather not have that extra app. You can pick and chose which facebook pages to link to a specific contact, though. You don't even have to change the names to match what is on FB.

I had this issue as well as did a guy I work with. We erased the facebook app and reinstalled it and after a couple tries the contacts synced fine.

I did all that stuff when I first got the phone and it still isn't syncing contacts.

I have removed the app a few times and re-downloaded and still... nothing :/

okay so scratch my last post... I removed my account and signed back up (under Accounts & sync) about 3 times and it finally gave me the option to sync and select my contacts I wanted from Facebook. I guess it just takes a few times.

You do not need to remove the account. Open Contacts hit the menu button and click "Get Friends"

From there you will be able to select friends from your Facebook or Twitter account. Select the friends you want to add. the names do not have to actually match, although it works better if they are the same name.

If they are not the same name simply select a contact int "Contacts" from your phone/gmail/corporate and scroll down to Linked Contacts, tap it and it will give you an option to select a contact to link. Tap that person FB account, then those two will be tied together.

Ok so i uninstalled the facebook app a bunch of times, added the facebook part under the contacts and it comes up with sync error, sync is currently experiencing problems. It has been like this since thursday. Ive removed the account and added it like 30 times. any other ideas on how to get facebook and the phone to sync?

Does this mean to register the phone from the website of Facebook?

Okay, so I tried this and was surprisingly pleased with the results for the first 5 minutes. Now, after taking more time to look through my contacts, I have noticed that it has "successfullly" linked all of my contacts with their facebook accounts however only partial contacts had their pictures linked. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to which contacts were able to successfully link their pictures either. Any suggestions on how to make sure all the pictures are linked?
