Factory refurb droid 2

Hey all I am on my third factory refurbushes d2 in 2 weeks. First one didn't light up second ones camera didn't auto focus and now I think im having a problem with this one. I cant uninstall apps using the hold over the trash can method. Is there an option to turn this on? I know its minor but I absolutely HATE when my phone doesn't work like it should in ANY way. Everything else seems fine, can anyone help?

I forgot to mention that I was using launcher pro/adw before maybe this is an option only native to them and not blur.
