[ROM] Factory Bionic Stock ROM ICS 4.0.4

Also CyanogenMod, AOKP, & LiquidSmooth are ROMs.

Gapps....
Google Apps contain the proprietary Google applications that come pre-installed with most android devices. Due to licensing restrictions, these apps cannot come pre-installed with
Custom Roms. Gapps must be flashed after Custom ROMs are flashed.

When I go to create a new slot, it asks me to choose a partition size. 1GB, 2GB, or 3GB. Is there a principal I can follow to know how much a rom will require? Is there a way for me to find out? Also, I figure I'll find out once Im able to install the roms into the slots and load per your instructions, but are the Gapps what install JB 4.2.2?
Or is that another Rom?

Above statement explains the gapps. Safestrap 3.11 is what installs the Jb Roms and Gapps. You need 1Gb per ROM slot. Jb 4.2.2 is built into the Roms already.

Thanks for comment. I corrected statement in #17

Bionic has locked bootloader. Scroll up to post 18 and read thru that. You root, install safe strap, build your slots, install ROMs and boot into whichever one you choose. Profit. I'm currently running cm10 in slot 1, aokp in 2 and liquid in 3. All jelly 4.2.2 with jb kernel. :D

sent from my icy Bionic with jellybeans on the side

Thanks for comment. I corrected statement in #17. Also loving your ROM slot selections aswell Idubs. I really love Cyanogenmod nightly builds, The developers of the CyanogenMod Bionic and Motorola device's are @dhacker29 and @ hashcode0f on twitter. I qet quick info by following them just don't bugg them, you may get blocked lol. I am mark@markclifton75 on twitter.
I really like LiquidSmooth options a lot and its a smaller ROM file size. Its very quick.

SO... thanks to your continuous assistance, not to mention patience ^_^' , I finally got The CyanogenMod 10.1 on there, and its pretty cool. I can't wait to try the other ones.
2 questions:
1. You had said earlier that specific Roms are required to be installed on specific "slots". Is that accurate or did I misunderstand that? If I find that I really only need/want Ubuntu touch or LiquidSmooth, do they still need to be install on on their respective slots, or could I do Ubuntu onto Slot 1? Im trying to better understand the corrolation.
2. When I installed CyanogenMod onto Slot-1, created as a 1gb slot, It ran smoothly, but none of my downloaded apps showed up. It seemed like they were ALL having to be reinstalled into the Slot-1 partition/slot. Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to install and activate a slot, and have it recognize the apps from the stock rom slot? Or is every slot treated like a fresh boot and have to build from scratch? The 1GB ran out in the first 10mins of messing around with it and downloading all my favorite apps. But I have to say... it was amaaaaazing XD. Im so excited to try the other.

Question #1 -
#1 Yes they are specifically have to be in those specific ROM slots ONLY! There are permissions for those slots. Developer @hashcode0f is working on correcting those. Some day they will work in any slot. - BTW Ubuntu Rom slot #4 requires 2 GB partition.

Question #2-
#2 Yes when you create a new Rom slot it is new and fresh. Google Playstore will automatically download your apps for you when you sign in the first time . Your apps are not installed, but after you or playstore install your apps, the next time they will be there.
The next time you update a new nightly, or ROM (ex.) Say a Liquid Smooth Update.
...download the update.
Boot into recovery,
flash new update in its correct slot.
Wipe cache/davlik,
flash Gapps...
reboot
. . . every update. . .

Your rom will look the same w/ you apps as it was, just now updated.
Make sure you make a back up.

#3-"FYI"
#3 If at anytime your Rom downloads or any files are not showing up in safestrap "INSTALL" options.
Goto install in safe strap.
Up top there is internal SD and ext SD selections.
Set it to which ever has your download... Reboot to stock ROM...
Now back to safe strap ...
Look at install now..should show up now.

#4-
Bonus... Find Updates...
Go to Settings... (in current ROM)
About Phone...
Cyanogenmod Updates...
Hit Refresh circle top right...
Bottom are your ROM updates..or use CyanogenMod Updater from playstore.

Thanks, that clarified quite a bit.
Im in my stock rom (ICS 4.0.4) and something occured to me.
1. With all the apps having to be reinstalled to each "slot"/rom, it's kind of pointless to have anything less than 3gb per slot...
I checked my storage capacity while in the stock rom for the internal storage, it says it's total is 16gb, but only 2.97gb is "available. The only slot I have created and installed into is CyanogenMod 10.1 +gapps into slot 1. I recreated the slot last night with 3gb shortly after my last post last night. I didn't want to have to keep rebooting between CGM and Stock to get to my apps. but with how it is now, I cant even install another slot, only Stock and 1 Slot. I MUST be missing something. I mean, if you do have to toggle/reboot between slots/roms to be able to access and use all the apps that you normally use... thats... Ive just gotta be missing something. I really really want these roms so I can use the customization, like allocating app shortcuts to lock screen swipes... epic. But if the Slot doesn't even have the room to install all the apps I want, then it kind of limits or outright defeats the purpose of the rom, i think... This is all just thinking out loud and sharing my understanding of things and hoping Im wrong. Sry.

You may have misunderstood some where along the line. Only need 1GB for Rom slots. No more.
Once you have install your apps from Google in your in your New "virgin" rom and set up your custom ROM the way you want.. As if your phone was brand new.
The next time you flash your Cyanogenmod will look as it did the first time you set it up.
You are wasting space with 3GB...look at example #1
y2e9asyg.jpg

The 1GB is for the installation if your ROM Only.
Your Apps memory space is stored elsewhere. Not sure how you "used" up1GB.
The rebooting to stock ROM is if you dont see your files is safestrap install section. Like your nightly downloads or you Gapps. It has nothing to do with your Apps.
The very First time you install your 1GB ROM slot and Install your CyanogenMod wipe and then gapps.
Reboot...you should be prompted to sign into gmail etc at some point. After, open play store/ market. Your apps should auto download from play store.
The next time you flash and upadate( same way you installed the first time..flash rom/wipe/flash gapps) Your apps will be there still there . It will say updating apps after reboot.
Also Don't try to flash a Custom Rom to your stock ROM or install a Custom Rom backup. You may brick your phone.

Don't try to flash Any Custom ROM is Stock Roms Slot ever.

I think I may have figured out what I did wrong...
first and foremost a lack of patience on my part. Last night i read through every post, watched every video, and tried to get every detail we talked about. And the mistake I made was just stupid... I "wiped" after installing Cyanogen, AND after installing Gapps ^_^' sry. I realized I was only supposed to "wipe" after installing the rom.
Im hoping thats all it was. Haven't had much opportunity to mess around with it today. But Im anxious to look for themes and see what each rom can do.

Also if you factory wipe...it will reset Rom to new again. Remember only to wipe after flashing ROM. :) Happy Flashing.
